Numa instala\u00e7\u00e3o equipada com um sistema BESS, as baterias s\u00e3o carregadas quando a procura \u00e9 reduzida, existe um excedente de produ\u00e7\u00e3o renov\u00e1vel ou o pre\u00e7o da eletricidade \u00e9 mais favor\u00e1vel. Posteriormente, quando o consumo aumenta e se aproxima do limite de pot\u00eancia estabelecido, o sistema come\u00e7a a descarregar as baterias para fornecer parte da energia necess\u00e1ria.<\/p><p data-start=\"3124\" data-end=\"3365\">Desta forma, o consumo registado pelo contador el\u00e9trico mant\u00e9m-se dentro de valores previamente definidos, evitando penaliza\u00e7\u00f5es financeiras e reduzindo a pot\u00eancia contratada necess\u00e1ria para o funcionamento da instala\u00e7\u00e3o.
