data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The **Dominican Electric Transmission Company (ETED)** is a state-owned electrical company whose objective is to operate the **National Interconnected Electrical System (SENI)** to provide high-voltage electricity transmission services throughout the national territory.<\/p><p>ETED is a decentralized company owned by the Dominican State, created as part of the segmentation of the electrical sector, resulting from the capitalization of the Dominican Electricity Corporation under **General Law on Public Enterprise Reform No. 141-97**, dated June 24, 1997. Its legal framework is established by the **General Electricity Law No. 125-01**, dated July 26, 2001, which regulates all aspects related to the production, transmission, distribution, and commercialization of electricity in the Dominican Republic.<\/p><p>To this end, the **Executive Power**, through **Decree No. 629-07** dated November 2, 2007, created ETED with effect from January 1, 2008. ETED was granted budgetary autonomy and its own legal personality, as established by the **General Electricity Law**, making it responsible for the operation, maintenance, and administration of all high-voltage networks, substations, equipment, machinery, transmission systems, and movable and immovable assets transferred from the CDE (Dominican Electricity Corporation).<\/p><p>This event marks a new milestone in the history of the National Transmission System and represents a significant challenge for the executive team and the workforce.
