Founded in 2023, the Brazilian Association of the Green Hydrogen Industry (ABIHV) is a private, non-profit civil association that brings together companies operating throughout the Green Hydrogen value chain.
ABIHV’s main objective is to actively contribute to the development of the necessary conditions for the competitive production of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives in Brazil, promoting the country’s sustainable economic development through income generation, technology, and job creation. Its actions are guided by diversity, inclusivity, social responsibility, and recognition by society.
To this end, ABIHV works to:
• Encourage the integration and participation of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives in the Brazilian energy matrix;
• Influence the formulation of public policies aimed at the sector through the legitimate representation of interests before the Executive and Legislative branches, as well as Regulatory Agencies at the federal, state, and municipal levels, in addition to other organizations and associations that can contribute to the development of the Green Hydrogen market;
• Organize joint actions among its members to ensure representation in various sectors of Brazilian society and government authorities;
• Seek, from national and international financial sectors, funding instruments for projects related to the production of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives;
• Establish cooperation agreements for programs related to the production of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives with international and national institutions, as well as partnerships with international cooperation agencies and development chambers relevant to the Association’s objectives;
• Disseminate economic and technical knowledge about the uses and applications of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives.
