The Brazilian Association of Electric Power Generating Companies, ABRAGE, established on December 7, 1998, is a civil, non-profit association formed by major electricity generation companies, predominantly hydroelectric in origin, that aims to achieve, through research, studies, and debates among its members, the best development of activities related to electricity generation.

ABRAGE aims to facilitate and promote for its Members:
I – The exchange of technical, commercial, financial, and legal information related to electricity generation activities;
II – The development of analyses and studies of common interest;
III – The establishment of agreements and cooperation covenants for technical exchange and information sharing with public and private entities, both national and international;
IV – The development and defense of proposals for solving common problems.
