Massimo is Smartenergy’s Country Manager Italy since early 2022. He joined Smartenergy as Project and Business Development Director in 2020. Massimo has over 20 years of experience working in the international renewables sector. Between 2001 and 2012 he held various management positions in Italy, working for solar developers and technology providers such as Saint-Gobain Solar, Hanwha SolarOne and AGS Group SpA. From 2012 until 2018, Massimo continued his professional career in the UK Solar PV market and held senior management positions with companies like Qcells, Jinko, REC Solar and the Mansour Group. Before joining Smartenergy, Massimo worked for BKW’s Milan-based service division, Proxima.

Massimo holds an MBA in Energy & Sustainability and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA in Finance at the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan.
