Sedigas is the association that, for over 50 years, has brought together companies in the Spanish gas sector, committed to fulfilling the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals and the EU’s energy and climate objectives. It promotes the use of gas for its energy advantages and emissions reduction, as it is a mature, proven, efficient, and easily replaceable technology compared to more polluting fuels.

Since its establishment in 1970, it has fostered cooperation among all stakeholders to accelerate the energy transition, which aims to balance environmental protection with supply security, economic growth, and consumer welfare. In a context of energy transformation, Sedigas aims to convey to society that gas is a sustainable and efficient energy source, both for the present and the future.

Moreover, Sedigas is the representative body of the sector and acts as an intermediary with national, regional, and international administrations. It is also a key player in promoting the use of gas through numerous initiatives and activities developed by its Committees and Working Groups.
